Welcome from Pro Consul Moss
Dear Visitors,
My name is Asher Moss, and I serve as the chapter’s Pro Consul (Vice President) and Quaestor (Treasurer). You may have met our members on campus, heard Sigma Chi’s name around Northwestern, or are simply curious about our chapter. I hope this message addresses some of your questions and introduces you to who we are.
The Sigma Chi Nu Associate Chapter is a colony chapter of the Sigma Chi International Fraternity. As a colony, we are working toward full installation by completing a set of requirements. During this process, the chapter operates under a unique name: Nu. For over a century, Sigma Chi’s chapter at Northwestern has been the Omega Chapter, a name we will adopt upon installation.
Since February 2025, we have been completing Sigma Chi’s Expect More Program, which is designed to ensure that chapters are prepared for long-term success. Throughout this process, we have experienced consistent membership growth, built strong financial reserves, and cultivated a close-knit community. We currently project completion of the Program in Summer 2026, with a target installation date of September 2026. This milestone will elevate us to full chapter status within both Northwestern’s Greek community and Sigma Chi.
Our chapter facility is currently undergoing renovations and will remain closed during the 2025–26 academic year. However, we will have access to the facility for social events during the 2026–2027 academic year. Chapter members may have the option to reside in the facility starting in Fall 2026, with guaranteed residency starting in Fall 2027. Our chapter leadership is diligently working with the Sigma Chi Housing Corporation to oversee the final stages of construction. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you all to our chapter facility next year.
While facilities play an important role in fraternity life at Northwestern, the foundation of any strong chapter is its people. Our chapter will continue to invest in formals, mixers, philanthropy events, and brotherhood activities that build a strong sense of community among our members and strengthen our presence at Northwestern.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our values, our members, and the direction of Sigma Chi at Northwestern. We look forward to getting to know you.
Sincerely,
Asher Moss
Pro Consul, Sigma Chi Nu Associate Chapter
